Working Canadian big law. Really burnt out and not enjoying work. Very understaffed and work product is suffering. Partners not hiring new associates, classic toxic work/availability expectations etc etc. have an opportunity to work with a boutique firm, make same amount making now but plus % of billables. Smaller deals and less sophisticated but opportunity to help grow the firm and be more entrepreneurial. Weekends generally protected and lower yearly target. What would you do?

Passed the mcq part of the Platform Dev 2 yesterday. Now need to complete the trailheads. I am technical consultant. Just felt like sharing. Took me well over 3 months to prep and 2 failed attempts.

I took far yesterday, I really pray to God I pass. It took me over 2 months to go through all that material

Officially 3/4 of the way there! Got my FAR result back this morning.

Score of 84 using Becker. Focused the most on the assets, liabilities, and gov. chapters. Took two practice exams.
Mock 1 - 65%
Mock 2 - 75%

Studying before and after work and starting to get depressed. All I do is study and work. I want to light my Becker book on fire and shove my head through a window.

I start studying for the CPA in a couple of weeks (July 1st). Is it realistic to say that I can get this completed by the end of the year? If so, which order would you take the exams? Audit background

Has anyone used any other course than Becker? I can't follow Becker completely and I have been working for 6 years now.

I have not heard anything about that. Your state association will normally grant you a 3 month extension pretty easily. Most allow you to email them and request it and they will respond with an extension. It doesn’t buy you a lot of time through it really only can be used if you have 1 (maybe 2) parts left to finish.

Is it possible to study for FAR full time for 9 days and pass?
