Found a deer tick nymph on my 2.5 year old daughter's thigh today. Could only have been there for 3 of 4 hours, given our timeline today. I thought it was a piece of dirt and picked it off with my fingers without thinking. It was only after I pulled it off her that I realized what it was. Now I feel like crying and throwing up at the same time. The anxiety filled waiting game begins.
