Um. Don't price the others out. Start at $100/hr. That's standard in Chicago. I wouldn't go lower than $85/hr
$100 per hour minimum.
$100/hr
Like Producer 1 mentioned if it's under $85/hr, negotiate OT and weekend DT
Who bills hourly?
Can't speak for NY but in LA, I've been quoting $65-85. When it's a lower rate I push for OT.
What are the OT rules in NYC? Worth getting paid hourly because of that?
Per hourly. I offered that as it was what I was asked. Now, I worry about Dayrate turning into 18 hour days. And never being able to see a doctor or get a haircut.
Day rates have limited too. If I was working over 14-16/hrs a day, I have charged for an additional day of work. I also found freelance to have flexibility. So if you need to take a particular day off, or have an appointment, you should do it.
*limits
Thanks. What is s reasonable dayrate?
