I got an email from a recruiter from PayPal about a position I didn’t apply for. How do I know that? Because on workday you can see all the jobs I applied for. I applied for one position in the company but got reply for another position I am not interested in. The recruiter wants to set up a phone interview? How would you react? Because I would love working there, but not in this position,
Would you say something during the phone call or before?

Thought this was interesting. Across 160 teams of researchers, just about all failed to make good life outcome predictions on things like GPA, evictions, layoffs, and others. Data followed 4.5k families across 15 years, with 13k features (varied over time). Haven't looked at it directly yet, but will be turning the docs and data inside out... In the meantime, authors claim this as showing the limits of ML. Oh, and it's published in PNAS, so you know there's some big publication energy there.

As an ADC applying this summer for 2022 start, I haven’t gotten a chance to connect with any L.E.K. Consulting members and I really want to get to know the company better before moving on with my application. Any L.E.K. Consulting fish out there willing to spare a few minutes to chat about their work, the company, the culture etc? Thanks!
He didn't want me to leave lol

Having two full time jobs isn’t shameful or unlawful. Lots of people work two full time jobs just to make ends meet. And his story of helping his parents should be a positive, not a negative, in any future interview.

When I was younger, I held two full time jobs for about 4 months and it just about killed me. Two 8 hour shifts ends up taking up 18-20 hours of the day.
I wouldn't worry about any future verification checks, but be more concerned losing both jobs due to exhaustion impacting performance

That’s a much more reasonable worry

The only issue I could see is if he somehow develops a conflict of interest because both employers are competitors. In which case it really depends on what each company’s policies on the matter say.
Even then, exactly how does he think he would be “caught” here? And what would the resulting negative effect be in his mind?
Sounds like your friend will also be unemployed soon
Just to clarify he's planning on two corporate IT gigs at two large financial institutions, job A in strategic IT capacity, job B in a more "on the ground" type of IT function.
He's better off freelancing on job 2. Also if he has to fill a timesheet either he is going to lie on one or both of them or he is doing part time on the other
That’s honorable but not advisable health wise. He’ll burn out soon and then what?
Perhaps he can help out his parents by moving in with them and rent out one place to generate extra income?
