Going to be joining MBB as an experienced hire (2.5 YOE) and I will be taking 5 months between jobs. I have been working in consulting already so I don’t necessarily need to get up to speed with Excel and PowerPoint. How would you suggest I should spend those 5 months? Ideally I would travel for at least a couple of them. However, I am trying to figure out whether I could dedicate my time on acquiring new skills, maybe working on a side hustle or helping a friend’s startup. What’s your take?

Hey guys. I’m looking for some advice on a new promotion to Radiology Supervisor. It’s a great opportunity and I know I will be great in the position. The only problem is I’m worried about the issues it may create. I’m pretty fresh out of school (<2yrs) while my peers have 5-10+ years of experience. Any good recommended books on how to build a scalable product and team? I currently work at a medium sized firm and have about two years experience in personal injury litigation. The billable hours and lack of work life balance are really getting to me and I am looking to switch to something else out of litigation, preferably in house. I am also looking to relocate to a different state. How do I go about properly marketing myself to companies that might not take my relocation and minimal experience seriously?

Do recruiters and Hiring Managers actually review and read resumes? Also tech companies that sell SaaS, what is it with the requirements of having 10 years or more if technical sales experience? Also the ramp up period is not realistic. Average sales cycle for a reputable SaaS provider is 12-24 months. How on earth a start up can state that their ramp up period is 90 days? The company hasn’t had any new sales either. Start up CEO’s… be realistic or seek enough funding to operate.

I had a very controversial experience with an OB that made me wonder how much we should be trying to influence our patients' decisions "in their best interest."
