Going to Vail, Colorado for a week this Summer. Would love recommendations for stuff to do, where to eat, hikes, etc. Going to rent a car but hotel parking seems pricey. Does anyone know of cheaper places to park a car overnight in Vail?

I hate paying parking fees, such a stupid luxury tax. When we go to vail we usually stay at the Westin at beaver creek and you pay for parking even if you don’t have a car, it’s nuts. Anyway, might be worth checking that before you spend time trying to get out of paying for parking fees. Haven’t been in the summer in a long time but remember the hiking being good. We floated the Colorado river in tubes which was really fun.

Can’t believe they charge for parking even if you don’t have a car!

Colorado river sounds fun! Thanks!

There are none, unless you want to bus 15-20+ mins to and from your car. You’re going to vail, you pay an arm and a leg for everything. Vail is pretentious.

Booth falls hike. Rafting in glenwood canyon.

Else stay in steamboat, buena vista, crested butte

(1/2) I started a new job less than a month ago at a large firm with a significant pay increase. I work remotely- which is a special arrangement. They paid for my travel to their headquarters for in-person training. After interacting with my manager and some of the attorneys, I feel like I made a mistake. Manager is demeaning and rude. A bunch of the attorneys dropped not so subtle hints that people who work from home are causing all kinds of problems. I don’t know what to do.

Has anyone ever Upgrades to premium class on a flight (on Alaska in this case) only to cancel for a flight credit? Basically I booked saver fare, need to cancel it but don’t want to eat the cost. It’s $100 to upgrade round trip and premium class can get a flight credit. Is this possible? Or will Alaska not let that happen?

Hi everybody.
Right now I’m working as a junior product engineer in Amsterdam. From januari on I’ll be a medior product engineer. And now I’m in the middle of negotiating about my salary increase. The salary that I’m being offered feels low (41.5k).
Is there an other product engineer that could tell me if my gut feeling is right or not? Thanks in advance!

Working on a long term brand platform, which had the potential to be a really stellar, powerful body of work.

Sadly, it's being driven into the ground so hard by stakeholders that I have no love left for it. It's slowly becoming an embarrassment.

How do you go about this? Do you just swallow your pride and just take the paycheck? Try to fight for it tooth and nail while you still can?

Question on UK visa-
My partner will be traveling often to London, once a month for an year starting September. He is getting his visa through work (10 years, multiple entry, 6 months max stay, cost some $1000).

I have applied for standard tourist visa in the past and they are usually short term. It could be max 6 months, but they see your itinerary and allocate you few months around the itinerary

Is there a way to get 6 months multiple entry visa, if I were to join him once in a while.

Planning a trip to Rome and Naples with day trips to Tivoli and Pompeii. Is 1 week enough? I feel like reading through 3/4 day Rome and 2 day Naples itineraries, the trip seems rushed. I have unlimited PTO but my SO is limited in time (but luckily he can work extra hrs and then use less PTO). I would say max we could do is 1.5 weeks but adding on 3-5 more days seems almost too much? Thoughts? For reference, I did Venice-Florence-Rome in a week and it seemed okay but it also wasn’t as planned out
