Google recruiter said interview feedback was good. However they’re finalizing another candidate and since they don’t have headcount, I can expect to hear back in Q2. Has this happened to anyone?

I have a buy side interview tomorrow but have not had any time at all to prepare given workload. Has anyone been in a similar situation and have any suggestions for how to manage? I have a bunch of deliverables tonight and want to get decent sleep so I don’t think I’ll be able to prepare. This is a first round interview so I am hopig it won’t be too technical

Hi bowlers! 2020 grad & spent the past 2 years working for USACE. I love the job/WLB but for personal reasons I’m moving to NYC in Aug. I’ve been applying to all the in-house jobs I can find (not trying to study for/pass the NY bar in 2 months). Snag is I feel like I’m not making it past HR. I had 60 day late payment of 35 bucks in Jan. It was new Amex Hilton card I opened for stupid points. It was reported and my credit score had been consistently dropping from last 6 months. It was 780 and now is 735. I realized this 3 months and been paying my credit card bills immediately. Infact I have overpaid each card to have negative balance so my credit utilization is almost zero. What else I can do to repair the damage. I’m interviewing for jobs that would essentially lead to a minor career pivot. I have gotten to 4 straight final rounds (4-5 interviews and a presentation for each company) to be told I’m second choice in favor of someone with more experience. I have been seeing a lot of McKinsey Implementation job postings on L.I. for supply chain and/or procurement consultant roles.
