Any thoughts on the eLearning space?
Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.
I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.
Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.
Should I stay or should I go?

In three years at Amazon you make $1020K
Staying three years where you are at you make $1050K
After that excluding promos and base increase you make $350K where you are and $400K at AWS
So you’d have to stay at least 3 years to see any upside from this
Mentor
6>7 promos are rare and 7>8 is near impossible, realistically
Tldr: think it's a good offer but fucking worried about the company culture etc
Assuming the sign-on is spread over 2 years. Is it 400 RSUs or RSUs worth 400k?
Enthusiast
$400k worth of RSUs. They’re offering him/her roughly 122 units in total.
4 years is a long time to commit in today’s market. You must have great experience, seems like a lot of risk without much upside
Enthusiast
Not a commitment. OP still seeing ~$380k in TC year 1 with only 5% of the RSUs vesting. If share price increases, there is a carrot to stay.
Soaorry I'm daft but is the $300k a cash sign on or is that the current RSU value to vest over the next 4 years?
Base+rsu+sign on yes
Mentor
160 base is capped at amazon, they won’t budge. AWS attrition is high, why don’t you push for more signing and then some more rsu
Coach
Yes Amazon caps their base at about that much
Rest of your como will come in stocks

Isn’t that $300k over a year or two? I am interviewing for a L7 in Proserve and they said that the ‘bonus’ is paid out monthly over a year or two.
I can get it on signing, and either paid out at once or per month.
Recruiter has more or less set it up with me in a spreadsheet and shown what they can and won't change. But paid out at once means if I leave year 1 i have to pay it back. If it's prorated i believe I don't have to pay back whatever is paid out.
