my cousin is working as a design engineer(related to mechanical engineering). He is havjng 4+ YOE for the same role. He has done diploma in data science from IIIT-Banglore in UPGRAD. Now he wants to look for an oppurtunity in IT field. Can someone let us know the process if u r aware of so that it would be helpful for him. he has done few live projects in UPGRAD in order to get his certification. Upgrad is 1 year course Cognizant Tata Consultancy Accenture Infosys Deloitte EY PwC KPMG

What's your YOE? You're going from 185K to 300kTC + a nice sign on? I don't see the problem unless you're 20 YOE
You could negotiate a little more on the RSUs maybe base 5-10%, but still seems like a decent offer. Also depends on your skillset and location. Keep in mind the potential for growth within the company too.

Great point SSC1. The more I think through the logistics like the eventual commute would be an hour each way I’m leaning that way now after thinking it through. I asked them Friday to increase offer so we will see.
