Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

You can’t be serious. It is never about the salary today but the salary afterwards (which is standard across hvac firms and non negotiable). Take McK and learn and realise your full potential.
Someone on this post commented that they got you to match tc with proof soooo…. 😬

McK pays that low?
The position is Engagement Manager at McK, and I am a Manager at EY now. I believe I can still ask and the worst thing that can happen - they say “no”. I don’t think McK can/ will withdraw the offer just because I asked?
I came to McK from EY. Take it. The work, exposure, and people are next level🙌🏽
If your goal is to make as much money with as little work in consulting then stay. Otherwise leave
Lol
Rising Star
Look at comp and exit options from a long term perspective (2-5 year window)
Our base salaries are often low compared to other firms which is an intentional
design choice - I would take it!
Come and then exit in a few years. The biggest upside is exit opportunity.
Mck wouldn’t budge imo. They think highly of themselves as an employer. I’d try to negotiate EY first
Recent moved from a consulting shop to Mck. They will match / beat if you prove your current tc is already higher. Policy is to not throw money to beat other’s offers just for the sake of it
Lol no
McK will not negotiate your base no.
Pro
If you are ok with crazy work hours, but higher pay and better exit opps in the future, then go. EY will still let you live a great life, but future pay and exit opps are be as great

What level are you at at EY and what level is McK offering you? This is an important question
OP said the base is the same, I’m certain the EY will not come close to McK bonus
Are they downplaying you? Or is the offer in the back office at McK? Everyone knows McK pays higher in comparable roles or experience.
It’s an offer in Management consulting. I don’t have an MBA tho…
What are you making at EY as a manager ?
