You know salesforce has a pretty good maternal/paternal leave policy. I personally have enjoyed the switch - it depends on who your manager/team ends up being but I like the people and culture.
Yeah, I’m talking LATAM geography, but people I know (and that referred me) told me about Salesforce benefits and base salary are better than where I work currently. Although, I have company car, all included. I think the switch from client to consultant might be a shocker at first moment, but it’s the recent layoffs and having to mostly rely on how economy is going is what makes me worried the most about tech industry.
What kind of role do you have in pharma? I agree it’s stressful
As of now, I’m a Marketing Automation Manager, under the Digital product group. I came to this position aiming to be a Salesforce Architect, but the team restructuring pushed me deeper into “Digital” platforms (which kinda sucks because of the industry I’m in and the customer I interact with)
I’m sure you’re aware of Salesforce’s parental leave which is one of the best in the industry. I’d be curious to know how one navigates a situation where you are a new hire then need to take 6 months leave immediately when baby arrives? I’m sure there are retaliation protections around being let go during that leave time but I would imagine that convo w the manager might be weird at first. Do they know you are expecting ?
You will be completely fine, take the offer! It’s great here. I’m an SA as well and it can be bumpy but I enjoy it
I haven’t heard quite as much churn in the engineering section as with Sales/AMs. If it was in those sectors, I’d probably tell you to look elsewhere.
Is the solution architect role within the professional services organization or presales? Lots of layoffs continuously hitting our pro serv group
