Hi all, I have a question regarding retirement accounts. I am not sure if I should choose a Roth or 401k (company has 4+2% match). Currently 23, base salary is ~100k and investments have brought 45k this year which has me teetering between a 22-24% tax bracket. I'm early in my career, managed to save $30K to invest, and want to get my hands dirty with a rental property without too much risk (e.g. no HML/flipping). It sounds like that's a tall order in the NY/CT area given the prices, not to mention whether I'd be able to get a mortgage on anything below $100K, but I figure I'll give it a shot anyway. Don't you think that this latest trend of diversity and all where corporates are trying to paint themselves as inclusive by hiring people from different diversities just for the sake of it is leading to a lot of identity politics where deserving people are snatched off of some opportunities just because they don't fit in to that criteria of diversity.
