Should you work in notice period?

So my current project is getting really hectic and even my lead is on leave these days. All his responsibilities are coming to my queue and most of which I don’t have any idea about. I’m planning to resign this week. Should I keep working on such hectic schedules or any work at all including all the new responsibilities even after resigning? Would like to get as many responses as possible, thanks!

Designed a social media campaign for a local activism group. When I sent it over they were happy but I felt almost empty or unfulfilled but can’t put my finger on it. Has anyone experienced this?

Queens NY. I've lived in this building for 6 years and never saw a cockroach in my apartment before. Last winter we moved literally across the hall (from the west side to the east side if the building) to get a second bedroom, because I'm working from home. Now I see 2-3 cockroaches inside our apartment each day. Most are smaller than a ladybug, but some are as 2.5+ inches. Is it a bad roach summer? Was the last apt lucky? Is this normal? At an entry level, do you believe finding a mentor is the best way to advance in advertising? I’ve been out of school for 2 years now and have applied to quite a few entry/mid-level positions at local agencies and have had no luck. I currently work at an acct. firm and would like to move on to an account or strategy position. I believe mentors should stem from a personal relationship, however I can’t say that I have anyone personally who can mentor me in this space. Any advice?
