Paying taxes is not a problem but getting nothing in return from govt or their lazy govt employees for basic services is a big big problem...
Tax payers are 3% of population. Miniscule votebank compared to religious groups.
So they run the show.

Yes, higher the CTC, lower is the in-hand sal comparatively. We pay 30% taxes in return of 0 advantages. No free (good) education, healthcare, public transport, roads, railways (general compartments), social security, etc. We get absolutely nothing in return for our taxes paid.
Its not tax it's an vasuli to live in our own country forget about any benefits, even to buy house or car of our own choice we need to pay heavy taxes no exception in that as well.

It gets worse. You’ll receive ~2.2L in 39L, 2.75L in 48L and only 3.2L in 60L base salary. The higher you go, more taxes you pay(for the unknown, you pay additional 10% of tax amount if you’re in the 50L-1Cr bracket and additional 15%, 20% … for every 50L increase thereof).
Holyshit... I was thinking to switch but this makes me rethink my decision.

Agreed, I feel the middle class that pays taxes, suffers the more. Baaki, lower class has no worries & higher class is enjoying the benefits of being in their position.
Once you came in 30% tax bracket, for every 10000 increase in your monthly inhand salary you need to earn 2lac.

I guess leaving India is a good option for middle class as they can never benefit in India. This economy is running by sucking money out of our pocket. For whoever it's possible, kindly don't hesitate in leaving the country.

For 30LPA or above salary, you would generally pay 5 Lakh annual tax. This way you give 3 month's in hand salary to Govt of India and don't get anything in return like subsidized education and medical treatment. 2 months in hand salary goes to your children's school fees in cities like Pune and Bangalore. So ideally you just get only about 6 months' salary to manage your daily essentials and other future investments.
Unless GOI makes drastic changes in Tax slabs, we salaried people would always stay middle class no matter how good your salary is.

Gst on every household product or luxury , tax on purchase of grocery,petrol,travel tkts etc
Tax on houses,roads,municipality,water,electric
TDS on FDs
Short n long term capital gains
Many more
Basically if you account all, we work half of our life for govt
Tax is imp to run country and operate plans,budget but if done with full integrity n honesty
Subsidies doesnt reach to all beneficiaries
Business tycoons got lot of adjustment n relaxation on their interest

If we go for a strike of 1 day once a quarter. We might be able to make a good dent within 2 years. However we don't have a union.
So that will have to be the first step I guess.
Lol. I am okay if this goes to Poor or even industrialist or someone who brings business/development. But the most goes to Politicians , their free salary, different benefits like VIP Kota. Black money or ghotaalo ka to chor hi do.

I switched my job recently and I was claiming HRA by showing my father's house. In my present organisation, they needed a rental agreement. I didn't have it at my hand that time and they didn't deduct additional tax from january. By end of March, I received a call from company finance and asked me to pay 15000 to them for pending tax payment. My entire salary of March and 15000 was the pending tax. I'm lucky that my wife was working. My previous company didn't pay tds during the notice period for some reason and my present company didn't calculate it accordingly even after giving all the details of my tax payment. I am paying a lot of money to govt, but am I going to get support when I am in crisis? I probably won't.
