What is the best way to prep for case interviews if you don’t know anyone you can do live practice cases with? Was anyone else able to adequately prepare without doing live cases?
I’ve gotten to the final stage in interview process at 5 places now to be told no. First and second interviews at a bunch of other places too. Not sure what I could be doing better.
I did not realize how underpaid I was at my current firm/ position until I started applying for my same position elsewhere and saw the base starting salary at some companies/ other firms is around 10,000 more than where I’m at salary wise in my current firm (62k, HCOL, Senior Associate 1)

Deloitte is having me on 7 interviews. This seems a bit excessive. Has anyone else experienced this?
What would you do? You interview with a team at an agency. That team says No, not enough experience for us. Then abut later another team calls you in and boom you get hired, everything is great...
I am a manager with 13 yoe and getting an interview with Facebook as IC6. Want to understand if switching to IC6 is a good option or should I ask for manager role. Looking for insights for pros and cons of IC role. I enjoy people management but this IC role is for program manager.

Hi! I'm currently in a dilemma. I recently got an offer from a company that wants me to give a final answer by Friday AM but I am simultaneously interviewing with KPMG and in the final round waiting for my call with the partner. KPMG is my top choice, but if I don't get hired by KPMG, I don't want to lose this offer. Have any of you accepted an offer and then got an offer from another company that you wanted to work at and left the job that you just started? What other advice do you guys have?
Do you know of any companies that are similar to Toptal or BrainTrust? Basically where once you get in, you don't necessarily have to go through full interview rounds for each new client? I'm not referring to the big consulting firms, but more for independents.
I have an interview with Google in a little over a week and I feel completely unprepared. I’ve been grinding Leetcode but it seems like no matter how much I do it, I need more time
Anybody recommend a good recruiter in NYC? Been applying left and right to analyst positions but haven’t gotten any hits. Hoping a recruiter can help.
How hard would it be to make the jump from designer to art director? For context, when applying for this job I thought I would be a designer with some ideation opportunities (there are no Junior Art Directors in our creative hierarchy). Craving for more ideation/big-thinking art direction in my next gig.
Pwc Data Analytics Manager, Ireland. Invited for R1. Looking for Interview structure and what further rounds can be expected? Also what is the purpose of the personality questionnaire to be completed beforehand?
How long after interviews are applicants notified of decision? What’s the longest you’ve heard someone wait and he/she was accepted?
I was HC approved, but told that the hiring manager is still deciding on which candidate to offer the job to. How often are folks successfully matched with teams they didn’t initially interview for?
Query regarding Skilled Worker visa maintenance section. I'm moving to UK via Accenture and they're A-rated and certifying that they will support me for first month on the CoS. Does that mean they will necessarily pay for my accommodation for that period or give me some advance money?
Are there women here that have a significantly larger income than their male partner/ spouse? My husband used to make a little more money 10 years ago when we first met (when we were both making under 60k). Then I started climbing a fast track career ladder and now make a total comp of close to 300k and he is still under 80k... (which is totally fine with me btw). But I have noticed that this has caused a lot of serious issues for our relationship. any advice?
Comp discussion results?? @EY folks
Does the workload lesson over time, or do you just get used to the longer hours? Hmmmm...
ZS vs KPMG vs Roland Berger? US NE office Have an offer to join rb or zs trying to determine if I should. strategy work at KPMG almost non existent in my practice. Not super hyped on healthcare but also don’t mind it. What are your thoughts? It’s basically ZS brand in NA seems to be better than RB, RB has more diverse clients and strong brand in EU
Fishies, has anyone set up a taxable investment account dedicated to taking care of their parents’ after life expenses? My parents don’t have much savings and I think it will be up to me and my sibling to fund the costs. We are both in our late 20s /early 30s so thinking we can create a shared account to invest money in a index fund. Then hopefully decades later we can use it on our parents. I’m also open to other suggestions and any general advice on taking care of parent

Whenever I see “TC “ in the posts, I think about Test Cases, not Total Compensation. Is it because my Total comp is a Test to check my tolerance? Is it normal??
Just realized, I didn’t max out my 401k this year. Any way I can still contribute and count towards 2018 cap?

Just received the resume of a client's kid... Nepotism isn't overcoming this train wreck.
Quick vent: fiancé and I were going to put an offer in on an apartment we loved before all of this Covid stuff happened but changed that plan to rent to buy starting Aug to be safer. The sellers just told us they accepted someone else’s offer to buy. We, especially me, were in love with the apartment but we were too risk adverse to buy now bc if Covid and fiancé working at a startup that had layoffs in the beginning. Just sad bc we’ve been looking for two years and this was the perfect place.
Hi Steve, Big fan! What do you feel have been the most important lessons you’ve learned in your career? Both success and failures. Thanks!
Idk what everyone is complaining about at Guidehouse, I got a 7% raise and a 12% bonus without a promotion.
How long did it take you all to reach the 6 figure salary? I know it varies depending on where you're located but im curious where you started and where you are now
I just want to hear the explanation for why staff who started during COVID are doing so badly on average (and I have heard this from every level including staff themselves) from the pro 100 percent work from home people. If you agree it’s real, what is your solution? If it can’t be fixed, are we just accepting that the people we expect to backfill our positions aren’t going to be ready?
