I'm a data scientist with a Master's in analytics, experience in the field and am in a new contractor role in an office where I thought I would be doing DS work. I am pitching ideas for new analytics and models, but I essentially get told that they like my idea and to talk to "Bob" so he can implement it, but they want me to write up why it will bring value. How do I get this to stop. I want to be writing the code, not just the justification. Do I start the work before pitching?
