Hello All, I have been selected in the interview at NTT DATA and also submitted documents as requested by Recruiting HR. However , it's been a 10 days after docs submission but haven't received any call from HR for salary negotiation. On email follow up with HR, he said he is on it and will come back to me soon for further process. Any views.NTT DATA

Yep, turned down an offer that paid $55k more bc I knew the associates there worked almost every Saturday and were always stressed out
Thanks for sharing. WLB is the key
Years ago, I had a head hunter recruit me to interview for a position in another part of the country, which was about a 10 hour drive from where I was employed at the time. It would have been a transition from an unspecialized associate position at a large national firm to a highly reputable boutique firm in an area of law that I both liked and was growing. The firm offered me the job and the salary was nearly 70% more than my current salary at the time. Other than the pay and my general interest in the practice area I had zero connections to the city I would be moving to. I turned down the position as I knew I would only be taking the job for higher pay. Everything else pointed towards staying in the city I was employed at the time - including my then girlfriend, and now wife of 25 years. Don’t chase only money - it comes and goes and even those who have billions can’t buy happiness or peace of mind.
Thank you so much for sharing your story! appreciate it very much.
I took a lower paying role (from big law to boutique appellate litigation). It was pretty significant pay cut, but I would do it again every time for the work-life balance it’s given me.
Yep, I had an offer for higher pay, a title improvement (I’m in-house) and solid opportunity to grow, but it would require me to have a longer commute and more days in person. Found out I was expecting my second child the day before I got the offer and the pay jump wasn’t worth losing the family time I get now.
Understand! I would make the same decision
Absolutely. One of my close colleagues was offered a high-paying salary at a big law firm. She also received an offer making almost $50k less for an in-house position. She went with the in-house for the more relaxed environment and lack of rainmaking pressure.
That’s great, good for her
Yes.
