Hi All,
Looking to make the move from working in industry to big4 and was curious as to what level and pay I might be worth?
I have 10 years experience out of uni, as well as completed CPA and MBA. I have a experience in managing entire finance function of small/medium entities, but most notably solid corporate finance experience/strategy leading refinance exercises, debt raising, hedging/treasury strategy etc…Would be looking for something in deal advisory / M&A / CFO advisory etc….thanks Deloitte EY PwC @

I did, but I’m here on a partner visa.
Sponsorship for strategy talent is very limited since the pandemic. Now that the border has reopened, the new bottleneck is the visa processing time. 482 visas are taking at least a few months to be granted — the Department of Home Affairs is prioritising essential workers on the PMSOL list — and most companies are not willing to wait that long for junior or mid-level strategy talent.
If you are British and under 30 (or under 35 whenever the new rules go into effect), you could look at coming over on a working holiday visa and trying to get sponsored once you are in Australia. Your main challenge with a working holiday visa is that it has a 6-month limit with an employer, so you would need get lucky and have your 482 granted before you hit 6 months working with them.
What line of work are you in @D1?
