^For US gc process affidavit works, Canada is more documentation specific they might reject it. Don’t expect rfe in Canada immigration process, that’s the reason people provide over documentation.
You will need to provide a letter with responsibilities/ role detailed out based on the NOC code of your previous job.
It has to be on the letterhead of the company and signed by pen and not electronically. Make sure the letter mentions that you were employed full time and worked 40 hours / week.
Also helps if they add your last salary ( optional )

I took the skill sets descriptions from the code in cic site & emailed my prev employer to put it on the experience letter & they did it.
Now not all employers would do, I had a good relationship with India HR head of the company (very big global company 200k+ employees). So try your luck .
Talent on demand has a very basic employment verification letter. Unsure if that's not what you want, but I thought I will let you know
Thanks D4. D3, yeah I have seen that. But, like D3 said I’m looking for something more detailed about my responsibilities not just information pertaining to my role and title etc
^ D would never give you any experience letter with the details. You have to pull the verification letter from talent on demand which doesn’t have any value for Canada PR

^Not sure, may be you give an affidavit mentioning your skill sets & the reason that your employer doesn’t give a letter in specific format
Your manager has to give that letter on company letterhead. Otherwise, he has to get that notarized which I highly doubt one would do for another.. most of the big companies do not detail out job details of their employees during their term. So I would not worry too much about that. I asked couple of colleagues to authorize my job duties as my manager, hr were not helpful.
Btw, I had to go through this for US GC process. Not for Canada PR. But point is same, I guess..
I tried to get a VOE document with roles and responsibilities for Australia PR and uncle D just wouldn’t give it. Got it from Accenture my previous employer in a few days.
So took my manager to BOA and notarized roles and responsibilities on a A4 paper also called as “statutory declaration” and will attach uncle D’s VOE letter too (without roles/responsibilities of course )
Do we also have to get employment letters from internships done?
Internships don’t count towards work experience.
@D4 - that’s weird... Deloitte was pretty good when it came to providing me the letters for Canadian PR- the USI practice, US practice and Canadian practice ... all three
Anyone tried getting it from their coach in PwC? Does that work or do we need to go through HR
