Product owner is an agile concept , product manager is a business concept.
They are not same. Pick one first
Let me help with clarifying CM1 comment... product owners are title used in agile methodology for software development projects.
On an agile project the SCRUM master would look to the company’s Product Owner to prioritize requirements so each sprint delivers the most important features for the business. The Product Owner is usually someone in the company with the the most hands on experience with the area your developing the software but also has a strategic vision for the software purpose in the company. Product owners job is usually temporary or pet time and only last as long as the development project (in my experience). Afterwards they transition back to their prior role or in some cases become the Product Manager for the company.
A Product Manager is the person in charge of the overall success of a company’s product. If we continue with a software example they drive the vision for the product road map including new features for future releases as well as address end user feedback. They manage cross functional teams including Sales, IT, Marketing, Finance and Accounting assuming the software has some impact on each department.
