Has anyone had experience negotiating an origination fee arrangement from a biglaw firm? I’m a junior associate but have brought in ~$250k in annual revenues thus far and have received $0 in compensation for it. I recognize that amount is relatively low but I’m curious if there is an inflection point where it makes sense to ask or that I should have in mind.

Am I screwed? I’m on track for about 1300 billables for 2021, target is 2000. How in the *expletive* do people maintain full time big law jobs while studying for the bar?! I lateraled from a UBE jurisdiction to CA, and although I've retained ~some~ MBE info, it's way harder this time around trying to balance work (last time it was after law school/before work began).

I'm 2 weeks in and have a few months to go. Please share with me success stories of working full time in a big law gig and still passing the bar, because right now this is feeling like Mission Impossible ☠

Beginning to consider going in house (4th, corp) - I really haven’t thought about what I want, partly because I’m not sure what’s out there/attainable. Is it a bad idea to start by applying to a couple positions that interest me and seeing where that gets me? I’ll of course prep for the interviews but am afraid to burn potential bridges if I ultimately decline because I’m still figuring things out.
