Hi Guys,
I have been assigned to a Unbillable Project, they are building one app and have recruited people from the talent pool. The project is not registered in GLOW. And they are calling it as Voluntary Contribution type project for studio. Is this what they call Internal Project in Globant?
Will there be any impact if I don't perform as per their expectations?
Will it be of any benefit to me if work in voluntary project? Will HR recognize this project contribution as valid work?

I started as an advisor for 3 years and moved to a research role (currently a deputy CIO).
I think it depends on a couple of things:
1) what kind of analyst? Getting into stock research will be harder to pivot toward than manager research. If you want the former, you may need to go to an MBA program to make the pivot. If the latter, you can probably show your commitment to the pivot by enrolling in CFA program.
2) Not knowing your circumstance, you may need to prepare yourself for a pay cut. Front of house typically makes more than the investment team except at the most senior levels.
I’d also consider interviewing with some smaller RIAs where you could bring your book of business (which would pay for you) but expressing your interest in being more the investment lead than the planning lead and partnering with other advisors to service clients. There are a lot of advisors that would prefer to focus on planning and client management over investments and might be open to a team approach.
This is all excellent advice and good things to consider, OP. Be aware as well that many people are seeking WFH opportunities, so expect more than a bit of competition during your search. The more qualified you can get before starting, the better.
Financial analyst meaning what? FP&A?
Do you have your CFA? If so, then you should be kosher.
I do not, unfortunately!
