A great question. Product school isn’t cheap but I haven’t seen much success stories
I wouldn’t recommend. The product meetups in your city are free and get 70-80% of the same outcomes
ALWAYS trying to figure this one out lol.
I asked my company to pay for the certification and my manager advised against it, she said it was more of resume fluff and a nice to have. Real experience will always outweigh the certification. I’d look into a certification from a prestigious university instead. I know MIT offers an online one for roughly the same price
Just having the school name + the cert will look better on your resume and you don’t have to be accepted to take the course. But I wouldn’t guarantee that it’ll help you get an APM job.
A better approach is potentially solving a real world problem on your own and having evidence of how you identified the problem, tested it was a real problem, conducted user research by talking with real people, then what your solution was and how you built it. I know this sounds kind of intimidating but i’ve seen some people get really scrappy and pay very little money
It’s definitely not worth it !
