Felt that I had a great conversation but didn’t get the final round. Recruiter said that it was a tough decision and it might be that I should shoot for a higher level than the one I applied. Has this happened to you before?

I initially asked for 135k at my startup. They offered 115k and we ended at 125k. Within two weeks my manager left and everything shifted to me. I received praise for the work I did and to this day I still own all those responsibilities and some. We hired a backfill who has now decided to leave for cultural reasons, similar to my manager. I have been wanting to quit for sometime but wondering if this is a good opportunity to push for 20k more and leave in 4 months instead of next week.

I had My last interview with FB on Monday. My friend told me he can see that all my interviewers submitted their notes by Wednesday. Still haven’t heard from my VERY responsive recruiter. Should i be worried? I last spoke to her last Friday. I haven’t emailed for an update.
