McKinsey & Company I am joining the McKinsey & Company Boston office in late July and searching for housing in the meantime. If I could get some insight on the ratio of days in the office vs work from home that would be super helpful!
If I need to come into the office regularly I will try to find a place close by.

Nothing to help you prepare but some wise words one of my mentors shared with me:
If you’ve made it to the interview stage with BCG or any top Firm, you’re clearly great. Take a second and reflect on that. Realize that you are a smart, hard working, and accomplished individual.
This means, realistically, you will be successful no matter what you do in life. That’s the kind of person you are - you chase, drive, and ensure success.
So, this interview isn’t one sided. You’re interviewing BCG too.
The outcome of this interview is also not a reflection of who you are or of your worth as a professional / person / etc.
So breathe, try not to unnecessarily stress yourself out, and realize that it’s just an opportunity for someone new to learn how awesome you are.
Good luck.
Wow best thing I’ve read all day!!!!
Is it a final round? I have my final round with BCG this Friday! McKinsey 1 has great points conceptually, but on a practical level I would recommend
1. Preparing fit stories (though the case is arguably more important, this is still an important part and even more so in final rounds)
2. Practice cases with experienced people who know what they are doing (I love my friends, but the 4 practice cases I did with actual BCG folk were worth 20 with friend).
3. Speak slowly! Executive presence! Eye contact! Smile! They are wondering (1) if you are someone they would want on their case time and (2) can they trust you in front of a client. Convey your ability to be fun to work with but also client friendly!
4. Make the most of small talk on the way to the room, it helps break the ice & always calms me down
First round - good luck to you!! I have done a few with experienced consultants. Planning to do one or two BCG alums this week
