Congratulations !! I would go with FAANG. By the way I also have similar experience as you and am looking for a change too...Do you mind sharing with me how did you get these opportunities ? is there a head hunter that you may have leveraged ? or purely personal contacts ?

Do tell what level are you? Take me with you, please! The FAANG package is fabulous.
At a VP level now with a Fortune 500 company. 20 yoe.

What are your priorities? What's WLB like for each role?
Do you have children, other obligations, etc?
2 kids under 5...WLB very important. Priority is Carter progression and $$.
Depends. What are your cash flow needs. Which work do you like better. Which work can you perform better at.
Can do both roles well. FAANG is sales + delivery.. (P&L) of the practice. Other is e head of solutions delivery... so mostly tech delivery work.
Sounds like two great opportunities... what is ur monthly cash flow need?
I am frugal.. so my cash flow needs will be met with both jobs easily.

This is brilliant!! Great work. I would focus on long term growth and opportunity and also FAANG lol.

I always think about the future and where I’m going next. 95% of the time FAANG will open doors especially at a very senior level. A high growth start up is good as well. Ultimately go where you feel comfortable, but Most folks I know loved their FAANG jobs or left bad ones for greater opportunities. It’s a low-key M7 MBA in the tech world.
huge difference in comp packages, $250k/yr in RSUs likely doesn’t vest for 3-4yrs at a time
What is the vesting schedule for the FAANG job? How many years do you have left of employment? What does upward mobility look like at each job? Are there any non-monetary pros for either job?
From a financial standpoint it seems like the better choice is the position with FAANG. Is there a reason to think the stock value of any of those companies would dip wildly in the next decade—I’m unaware of any.
I would lean toward FAANG... but honestly I just hope I have to make a choice like this one day on my life lol
Wishing you the best!
Is there a difference in location? Which team do you click better with?
Both are remote.. and both teams looks cool for outside. Consulting company seems to be formal..
Don’t ignore the general outlook of enterprise tech growth vs. Consulting growth. It’s safe to say that Consulting firms are projected to grow at 10-15% over the next 5 years in a very good market. Tech will grow at 20%+. Your exit options will be much better out of tech than consulting. I think it’s a no brained. I am in a similar boat - final rounds but no offers yet. Congrats!!
FAANG looks more attractive. P&L responsibility will likely lead to more career growth. But $175k base is surprisingly low? Is that normal? I’d want more cash personally.
I see. Does the 250k rsu have a vesting period? Or you could sell the stock immediately if you wanted to to have cash?
