If money was not a criteria, what job would you do?
Hi guys, I need a suggestion.
I am very new to devops domain like only 6 month of theoretical knowledge and i got offer pf a tech lead role in a company so will i be able to survive ? Will this 6 month knowledge with less hand-on is sufficient to survive or should i choose lesser profile first and try to learn and then try for higher role as tech lead? Guys who are working in devops domain please help me to understand that how is the work load in devops?

I’ve put myself up for L4 promo this cycle. Assuming I get it, what would be the best next steps to optimize for long-term growth/TC?
My understanding is that L5->L6 is extremely painful at Google. It may be easier to leave for a handful of years and gain managerial experience before returning.
L4->L5 is less challenging; however, I’m under the impression I can do this quicker at another company (if I leave after being freshly promo’d) AND get higher TC.

I moved from ID to AM 100 litigation in my first year. I simply applied to open positions and interviewed.
I should add, while I had prior professional experience, two other associates from my ID firm applied and interviewed for the same position. They were K-JD with only 1 and 2 years legal experience. I also don't think my previous experience won me the job.
Maybe you need to adjust your resume and cover letter. I'm not sure if you market yourself as insurance defense, but I'd suggest you emphasize the areas of law you have experience in. i.e. construction, employment, general liability/premises liability, etc. My firm really appreciated the breadth of my background, albeit at 1 year experience.
