Why would you ever want to rollover your 401K into an IRA? It seems like doing so would essentially prevent you from successfully being able to do a IRA to Backdoor Roth IRA conversion due to the pro-rata rule. Am I missing something? I have passed the screening for BCG and McK, and will perform Casey and Imbellus respectively this weekend. Applied with 8 YOE in petrochemical industry. My question is about case interview preparation, I have been mainly practicing candidate-led style so far and don't have much info about interviewer-led approach that McK utilizes. Considering short time-frame to prepare, which strategy should I follow? Are these styles very different?
