Have you talked about your wedding with coworkers? I made the mistake of saying I had to leave work a little early one day because I was going to do a tasting at my venue. That starts a debate on why one shouldn’t get married, how much wedding costs & what a waste it is, dresses are stupid because you only wear them once, etc. I haven’t talked about my wedding much, but I didn’t appreciate this. Just wanted to share a verse that calls us to be redeemers in our workplace. That our faith is not separate from our work.

It has been hard to find a church in NYC where your friends with kids around 12yo are not moving to somewhere else.

The thing prayed for became a praise report that’s now back 2 a prayer request. God help me! Grateful for the shift but don’t yet feel I’m walking in my calling. How 2 remain steadfast in the journey?

Today, I was looking through other bowls and see comments like: “Anyone tired of chasing money?” “Is it just me or as I get older do you realize how little awards and accolades mean?” And I’m reminded of how grateful I am to have my hope in something other than my work. I hope my coworkers see that in me, too. That I work hard but advertising is not what fulfills me.

Amid this crisis I hope the Christian body can be a channel of blessing and a city on a hill. How are you all working to be obedient to God and be a light in this time?

I feel it helps me stand out but am also worried some may judge me helping others through my church with being anti- this or that.

If God is the Creator of all, and we are made in the image of God, imagine what echoes of his creative mind we can produce in our work?

How does Christians feel about therapy sessions? Should we be taking our problems to therapists and psychologists or should we take them to God and pray about it?

I’m a first generation professional and have been in this industry for only a few years. Anyone have an suggestions for dealing with discouragement and burnout? It’s been challenging trying to maintain career optimism and figure out my career with little guidance while also trying to be an encouragement to burnt out colleagues when I’m already feeling weary.
