I have an offer as Technical Manager in Mindtree India . I have about 12 years of relevant experience in Java application development and mentoring and team leading. They said it is an onsite role with Mindtree Germany ( already done with client interview). My India salary is decent as per Indian market standards.Any idea how much will they offer me as Germany salary for the onsite role? Is it the same like other MNCs - TCS , Infosys, HCL,Wipro etc? Or how much I can ask? Mindtree

Consulting is only worth it if you want to make it to partner and you have good chances to do so relatively quickly.
The higher you get in consulting the less chances you'll have to exit.
Big4 are glorified accounting firms.
Banks offer very competitive pay for relatively little effort.
The choice is yours to make.
If you pick big four, make sure you upscale super fast because AI is coming for big four jobs so much of what big 4 new joiners do is low value which means AI does it cheaper better and faster.
Right now there’s arbitrage, but if you don’t take advantage of it, you’ll be looking for a job in less than four years .
Just be an expert in something, if keep shifting to stay up with best model or latest app, you will lose and be replaced.
Work values deep skilled specialist, not generalists. Everyone should hear your name and know you are a specialist in XYZ.
Project managers value generalists so they can plug multiple roles with one person, but what’s good for them isn’t good for optimizing your career. Being good a several things usually means you are great at nothing,

The bank will likely offer easier promotion chances. Big 4 is a pyramid. The bank has more discretion for offering promotions. Seen this over my 10 years of working.
I'd do Big 4 for the resume. Work a year or 2 then exit
