I’ve gotten the presidential several times. Never on award, both times were at property I’d stayed at week in and week out for months
Over the years with high Marriott status I’ve gotten the presidential suite a number of times, always when I had stayed a lot at the property recently and they knew me. Typically I’ve gotten then on one night, at most two night, stays, as they were likely just small gaps in its booking for much higher rates. I’ve never gotten it for an entire work week stay.
Most properties with more than one suite option don’t allow upgrades (via suite nights or just status) to the #1 *nicest / largest* suite of their property (ie presidential suite, exec suite etc).
Is this consistent with your experiences, and if you did get such an upgrade what were the circumstances? I have an upcoming domestic stay to use up my last two suite nights before they expire and the suite I selected is sold out, but the highest tier suite is available albeit not for upgrades (these are the only two suites this hotel has). I confirmed this with the manager, but hoping they can offer it upon arrival anyway?
Been upgraded to a suite where 7 US presidents have slept. Bonvoy platinum, $200 rate
Did they change the sheets or is Ronald Regans ass hair considered a feature?
Now that some of you mention it, I have received the same upgrades when travelling during the week, staying at a properties I frequent over the course of several months +. I should tailor the question to leisure / weekend / new guest travel
I was upgraded to a suite at a Luxury Collection hotel in Venice that lists for >€10,000 per night. It was nice
Same! Hotel Danieli. Was *technically* the 2nd nicest and still a suite night option, but the rate difference was truly negligible compared to the #1 which wasn’t a suite night option
