Have you exited to tech and come back to consulting? I'm thinking about it, and have a couple offers for higher salary.

I'm mid 40s, married with 3 kids. I'm doing well in tech but frustrated with politics/red tape/clicks in tech companies & everything moves slow. I'm not trying to become a Partner or VP anywhere just want to keep making money and use my skills. Not out to prove myself anymore; I'm a high performer and like to learn so I'm not bored - but not looking for a grind either.

Actually I had one offer of 13 lacs my company retained me with 14 lacs, I didn't want to Re negotiate with that Organization because of Loyalty issue with current organization. So That Company HR scold on me and told me we will blacklist you.

Got an offer from Kantar Consulting to work on their retail/cpg product.
Currently working with IBM with 10+ yoe having joined IBM 10 months back. Currently at 25 lpa and getting an offer of 32 fixed+15% variable.

Now my question is - Is it worth the gamble to leave IBM and join Kantar consulting which btw is known for market research and not consulting.
Also would leaving IBM after 1 year look bad on CV?

Has anyone ever done aggression training for their dog? Met with a trainer who basically wants us to either keep our dog crated or on a leash at all times and said no pets or play time for now. Our dog has been acting out ever since we brought home our newborn and also bit our groomer. Trainer has me terrified that the dog will hurt the baby but my heart is breaking that I can’t give any “love” to my dog right now. Any similar experiences or thoughts?
