Have you experienced or do you know of, partners that play games amongst themselves with associates, i.e. Partner A will hire an associate that they know annoys Partner B and continue to promote that associate just to annoy that partner? Do you know of similar examples?

I can assure you that’s not the reason you got hired/promoted. But kudos to your anxiety on its vibrant imagination

Not how it works, but some associates don’t get promoted because other partners don’t like the associate’s mentor/sponsor/etc.

Came here to say this.

Yes, currently being pressured by Partner B to staff more and more on their matters to undermine my availability for Partner A, who I generally prefer working with.

Idk you’d have to ask them

No. There are enough legal issues, political considerations, business issues, fire drills, issues with interpersonal dynamics, and so on already without introducing something like that, especially with such a meager reward.

Lol ain’t nobody got time for that.

Currently a senior 3 at EY and hope to get promoted to manager next year by October. Is it better to move over to BCG after promotion as a project leader? Or would that not be a lateral move as a EY manager?

I have had salary discussion and the Hr provided me the salary breakup on 5th August, I have accepted the the offered salary, how long will it take to receive the offer letter for TCS.

Any insights into negotiating a full time salary in tech sales? Do I need competing offers to do so?

Need career advice. Trying to break into a finance role, preferably an Analsyt role but I have no transferable experience. I worked as a mortgage loan officer (which is sales) for 2 years after college, but since mortgage is such a niche industry, no hard skills transfer and have no relevant undergrad internships unfortunately. I know I can essentially get any sales job I want in finance IE: financial advisor etc. but don’t want to be stuck in sales forever. Any advice?
