Just was curious to know whether we have to go to office physically for the joining or we can join virtually as I am not in Bangalore. Also is this offer different from Oracle or is it a branch within Oracle.

I will possibly be getting a machinist role through some contacts, and I have no experience in the field and I’m wondering what I could expect to make, when I look up average salaries for a machinist position I see around 65k but that seems too good for my age and experience so I’m wondering what some others in the trade on here are making

My district has finally gone 1-to-1. Is there a good app or website that I could use to have students submit answers anonymously while going over problems in class? I did this last week using Kahoot to go over a state testing review packet. It was great because I could see how many got the right answer and move on if no one missed the question. However, I would like to do it without having to create something in advance. I hope this doesn't sound confusing.

LinkedIn is a garbage app where I can’t even post my opinion or experience because it will go against the mainstream ideologies. If I even “like” a post then I worry that my peers and managers see what I like and suddenly I need inclusivity training. What a load of shit! You can’t be who you truly are on that app. Which is why I like fishbowl so much, the anonymity is a game changer. I recommended a candidate for hire to a manager that reports directly to me. This person is a perfect match, but wanted the manager to obviously recommend. It has to be a fit. The manager just told me my recommendation is not her top pick. I feel frustrated because as much as we talk about the position, I wonder if we are mot aligned on criteria. What do I do? Do I push more for the person I want or will I cause an issue with the hiring manager? How do I get her to see this person’s value?
