Thinking of transforming my career to Devops line , I dropped my paper. I started learning and doing hands ons on devops

But I'm little afraid how to get placed in devops role. Will they recruit me ? Or will they expect genuine experience in devops line.

I am not getting interest in testing now. Wanted to switch career as data professional, data engineer to be precise (after doing some basic study). Been with my current company 5 years now. I run my own team but have a micromanaging boss who likes to create chaos for me. He also exhibits stalker like behavior by looking up my family online (addresses, emails, phone numbers, FB/Twitter accounts, you name it) and driving by my house and commenting on things I was doing during the weekend or after work.
