Hello all! I recently left public accounting after 1.5 years and started an accounting role at a midsized health insurance company ($60k-$65k) that I absolutely loved for the last month. I recently received it a third interview in person for one of the largest healthcare providers in the US in an FP&A role but for less money. I was a finance major and like the overall opportunity better… What do I do?

An FP&A role paying less than 60k?? You can do much better. It can't hurt to finish out the interview process and negotiate if/when you get an offer... but since you like your current role, I'd probably just keep recruiting. You should be able to make more in FP&A, not less. Your salary is already very low to begin with.

Don’t leave the job you like after 1 month. Rule of thumb is to stay at least a year in a job unless you hate the job.

Salary aside, consider what you risk if you leave your current job for another job and it is not a good fit. You would be in the position of having left two jobs after brief stints and have an even lower current salary to negotiate with. That would be a significant handicap if a good FP&A opportunity comes up.

It only took me 7 years to figure this system out.... posting in case it helps anyone else! I color coded my classes and printed off numbers according to the number of kids in my classes. I then assign each kid a number that corresponds with my gradebook. When they turn in their projects, they put their number with it. This way, no contact and I can easily see who has and hasn't turned in their projects yet. I take the list down once they remember their number.
