Thoughts on the length of notice to give your judge that you’re leaving? Pertinent facts: I’ve been there a few years as the second clerk, and they would still have their head clerk and third clerk.

I’ve been at my clerkship for 5 years (4 with a different judge) and one with my current judge, and I heard horrible things about him before starting, but I assumed they were exaggerated. Turns out they’re all true, and I’ve had to start therapy to deal with him and the incredibly toxic environment. I’m trying to get out ASAP b/c he also has a history of firing clerks without cause or notice, but I think I’ll only be able to give two weeks notice if i get the job I’m interviewing for. Thoughts?

It’s been a month that HR told me that they’ll release offer, but it seems that approval is still in progress, is it normal?

Need advice & perspectives: I got a verbal review from my manager saying he couldn’t see me as senior cuz I didn’t follow the design doc format he mandates from all designers. While I have been the only designer who does almost everything from design, UI asset creation, wiring up UI in Unity (I am in mobile gaming).
Also the product I’m on has been in MVP stage, things move extremely fast and design decisions changed constantly. He’s not on my team.
Am I crazy for thinking him a bad manager?

Confused if parents want schools to reopen or not? I read so many posts here about how difficult it is to work full time and manage kids’ at-home schooling (I can’t even imagine!) so would assume that means parents want to reopen, but at the same time keep seeing a ton of backlash from parents in states who are pushing to reopen due to safety reasons. At what point do you stop splitting rent/bills 50/50 with your fiance? She makes 75 and I make 125, we don’t live a wild lifestyle so we could both individually afford 100% of our rent/bills, but I have student loans and she doesn’t.
