If I am required to testify (as an expert witness), I would need to book a flight, hotel, etc. My question is this: can I ask for my requested hourly rate, travel, and hotel to be covered when speaking with DA or is that “not how this works” as the investigator put it?

I’m a designer in the planning/landscape architecture dept. of a CE firm. I do not want to be doing ID forever but I really don’t know what comes next. What other similar but more advanced (and better paying) fields of defense litigation are out there? Is the next type of civil defense litigation just going out and being hired by private companies?

Curious to hear thoughts on how the recent rally is being perceived. Is it another of those temporary moves? Or does it reflect a view that the market bottom is behind us now?

Sharing my experience with Deloitte USI interview and offer negotiation. I gave Deloitte interview 2 months ago. After managerial round I did multiple follow ups and Deloitte didn’t bother to reply. I moved on and got another offer. After 1 month Deloitte came back and asked for documents and didn’t show up for another 1 month. Today HR called and asked my expectations. I have 23.5 in hand so I asked for 26 which she said out of budget. Then I asked 23.5 fixed atleast. Contd… in comments
