We are developing a system that automatically evaluates transactions against contracts and policies to determine whether they are compliant. For example, the system can review invoices against vendor agreements to verify adherence to agreed terms.

I would appreciate insights from the M&A community on other use cases where a compliance-checking system like this could add value. Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

Last night, I got a nastygram from a client who basically wanted to forego due diligence in a major buyout we’re helping him with. “Stop requesting documents and just draft me my docs.” But we literally don’t know who owns what right now, terrible corporate records. This morning, the partner told me he’ll probably fire this client, big pat on the back.

26 male, been offered a Corp dev role for about 140 comp incl. bonus (about 40% raise), F500. Currently been doing FDD since out of college. Smart career move or too early to jump Corp dev?

I'm deciding between two offers: 1. FDD Associate at A&M (90k base + likely 30-40k annual bonus) 2. Analyst at a small boutique IB with decent deal flow (75k base + likely 50-70k annual bonus)

Final round of interviews for EY Parthenon Deal Tech end of week, any tips or suggestions? Appreciate any insight

I started working as a consultant with EY 8 months ago. Even though I'm content and learning a lot there, I think there are places where I might easily earn more money. I received a job offer last week from Alvarez & Marsal to work as a consultant at the Transaction Advisory Department (financial due diligence team), where I will be paid more fairly (salary & bonus). Should I accept it? Or would leaving EY that early not be wise?

How hard is it to switch from IT m&a to business m&a (i.e., what financial modeling skills do you need? Is it easy to pick up from YouTube?)

Any insight into TCS M&A group? They reached out offering $200k for an M&A specialist role and would be a significant jump from my current salary. Unsure what they do in M&A space since they focus largely on delivery vs strategy

Best exit ops from FDD? Currently trying to get out of consulting. Ultimate goal would be to get into a PE shop, but realistically I know the chances are very slim. Anyone have advice for landing something else that is finance driven (I.e. Corp dev, strategic finance, etc)?
