Hello everyone

I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in Environmental Engineering Konkuk University South Korea. And i am expecting to graduate in August 2026. My research focuses on waste to energy technologies, particularly hydrogen-rich syngas production from sewage sludge using microwave-assisted pyrolysis.

I’m looking to connect with professionals in sustainable energy, and related fields, and would appreciate any insights on career paths and opportunities as I approach graduation.

Thanks

Which country? In the US, you’d probably have to do a post doc while you work on getting clearance to work. You could probably work for a lot of chemical companies or water treatment companies (not my field). Stable sustainability careers were hard to find in the US even before the current administration, but I’m sure someone in the field may comment with leads.

Maybe check if there are any Samsung jobs in the US available?

Currently i live in South Korea as i mention in my post I will begraduated in August 2026. That's why i post in advance to find suitable position for me

Awesome, good luck!

Thanks

California peeps. I have a feeling I failed FAR, which is my last exam, but my score isn’t released until May 11. Can I submit the reapplication with the CA Board of Accountancy to speed up the retake and NTS process in case I failed? Or do I need to get my exam score first? I need to pass by mid June, else my REG score expires, hence the rush to resubmit the re-application.

Hi everybody! 😊
I've been working as a Junior Analog Design Engineer for a year and half.
I received a proposal for a Senior Analog Designer role from Bosch in the same city where I am currently working.
Should I wait and build up a few more years of experience before accepting a Senior role or should I jump in and work to fill the gap?
Next year, there will be an important deadline for the project I'm working on and my resignation could be critical for the team, how would you deal with it?

I currently working as project coordinator (on-site) for 3 months 10hrs everyday with package $75k, I want to move to remote or hybrid work but I only have 8 months of experience from my previous employer and I have completed my master's in construction management in 2021. Should I stay in my role a bit longer to gain experience or I am not able to find remote or hybrid matching my profile. Your advice and comments are much appreciated.

I've been thinking about my career a lot lately. I feel like I've hit a wall, and I don't know how to get past it.

I've been at this job for almost 5 years now, and ever since the day I started, there have been problems with my coworkers. It's not just one person—it's everyone in my department, and they all seem to be working against each other instead of together. Should I leave?
