I'm not sure if this is the correct bowl to ask this. So I'm currently on the path of changing my job and have two offers in hand. Let's consider A and B. So A has a higher "basic pay" component but fixed pay is lower than B. B gave me higher fixed pay and CTC but the "basic pay" component is even lower than my current company "basic pay" component. Does this affect my in hand salary/tax deduction/pf contribution by employer ? Should I ask company B to revise the basic pay ?

Need a sanity check here.

When I joined my current company, we were on a quarterly bonus structure with guaranteed payouts each quarter. This was, in fact, how the recruiter said he could meet my salary request.

The company just announced we are moving to annual payouts only, with no payments for 2023 until May 2024. There are no raises happening.

This amounts to 12% less money in my pocket in 2023 plus inflation.

Is this standard, or should I be looking for opportunities elsewhere?

What consulting firms are in Raleigh, NC ? And how is the pay compared to somewhere like Houston or Chicago?

Generally curious about this years incoming batch of undergrads. What is your role and starting salary? Lots of HR laws ( CA, NY) and inflation this year so curious to see if people were able to use this to their advantage etc.

For 2 comparable opportunities, with factors as below, which would u chose:
A: Location very far from current home(20km), indiv. Contributor role, very good scope of learning, notice period 3 months, mandatory 3 days in office, pay 2 lakh more

B: location very close to my home, techno managerial role, moderate learning scope, np 2 months, 1-2 days in office, pay 2 lkh less than A

Both are big product based firms.

i have two offers, 115k and 105k. I would prefer the 105k job but they can’t match the 115k from my other offer. Has anyone ever left 10k at the table? I live in NYC Btw

I got offer from NatWest Chennai location . My skills set is project management 13 years experience. They have mentioned in my offer letter B7 corporate title is associate. When I ask to hr guy he said it is equal to Manager level. But title will change department department. Is it true? B7 is manager role ? What is CDIO department in Natwest. Please clear my doubts
