I cleared two rounds at HCL. Later, the HR called me and asked for my expected salary. They said they would share the document via email. However, when I followed up two days later, they told me to ignore that and mentioned that they are still waiting for approval on my offer. Once they receive approval, they will send the document email.

My two year anniversary of starting my career (in general) is coming up in the next 3 weeks.

Aug 2020- 65k base salary
Jan 2022- 80k base salary
July/Aug 2022- 110k base salary

What’s the “secret” to doing good work in transactional (specifically securities) law? Is it as simple as taking your time, looking up rules where necessary and going through the docs slowly/making comments as needed? I feel like I rush everything and when I see comments from counsel from the other side, I realize it’s not like I didn’t know most things, but rather if I had been more deliberate I would have caught them.

Lately, I've been hearing a lot from my peers about how sales isn't a real profession.
I work at a tech startup and it mostly comprises developers. They can't stop emphasizing their importance in the food chain and I can't figure if I'm too humble or they're too arrogant.

I have been invited to participate in a 360 for a former manager. Per the email invite, my former manager chose the 360 participants although each evaluation is anonymous. This manager did not perform well. I am struggling with how to be honest and give examples and feeling embarrassed, imagining when she figures out that I wrote the comments. In process of buying a house, both my surveyor and specialist damp contractor found damp under kitchen tiles (In the grout) & in skirting boards and up one wall. Sellers had work done initially in 2014 on the wall only(with garuntee) & their company has visited and assured there is no damp… what is next best course of action, get another damp specialist to examine independently of other reports? I don’t trust them….. (U.K. Victorian terrace, damp is in the kitchen extension built circa. 15 y/o)
