I have cleared all rounds of interview for Lead Software Engineer at Principal Global Service and am now waiting for an offer. How's the work culture in Pune office? And how much compensation should I ask?
YOE- 6.75 years
Tech- Java, AWS, DevOps
Current CTC- 17.5lpa

I know people with mechanical engineering doing good job in R&D departments, can he try to get into R&D department rather than coming to IT after 11 yrs. But there is scope in IT as well for manager role, my manager had 15 yrs of experience in Government job then he switched to IT.

Experience issue... But he can try his hand in designing and then Tata Technologies like companies have scope... Check it out

It's difficult as he as no experience in it, do try a,IT requires minimum 2yr experience to get a good salary
Salary is not a concern right now. He just needs to get into IT. Then he can switch after few years and get good hike right
Do some course and side projects. Then he can try it out at startups.
He can aim for PMP certification. My friend made the transition from mechanical field to project management with the help of that certification
Yes. Even within the IT industry, you have manufacturing, automotive, transportation and other verticals. He can enter those verticals of an IT firm with a PMP certification. His domain knowledge from the industry and the PMP certification should help him clear the interviews. Rest he can learn on the job.
Try with scaler
