This is a tough one. Off the top of my head I can think of three potential strategies:
1. Do excellent work as a consultant for a fund where you'd like to work and shamelessly ask for a job after you've delivered impact
2. Lateral into MBB and get 2-3 years there (and get promoted / strong reviews)
3. Bite the bullet and take the lower compensation in LMM. Then either get promoted or move to a larger fund for another PE Ops role.
Thank you for advice! Leaning towards #1, but there’s been no luck so far. Current client only retains very senior advisors 🥲 Past client gave off poor vibes
Easiest path is to move to MBB for 2-3 years
So you’re at RB :)
