Hello! I am a licensed Pharmacy Technician. I have completed my externship, now I am looking for a position as a Licensed Pharmacy technician. I have yet to become certified due to having trouble with my math. I am not good in math, never have. Is there any tips on studying the math half and learning how to remember? Any advice? Any study tips? I’m stuck and I don’t want to feel as if I went through this program for nothing. I genuinely love what I have learned! I’m excited for this new career.

As a pharmacist for over 25 years, I can tell you that the pharmacy technician is truly the unsung hero of the pharmacy. A pharmacy would not operate without good technicians, and I wish you all the luck in your studying. As far as tips are concerned, I'm not sure how to help you. Maybe try to visualize what the study guide is asking, but I can tell you that math is a huge part of my day and the technicians' day, figuring out doses and calculations like that. I have learned to do it all in my head over the years. I hope that you do well on the test.

Pharmacy math improves with repetition. Practice dosage calculations regularly and break problems into small steps.

I’ve got about 20 years cross channel experience in marketing, split between big brands and startups, and I’m considering pivoting into a data science/data analyst role. I know it will initially be a step back in comp but is it at all realistic for a person with certificate level experience in data analysis but a decent marketing management background to expect $150-200k comp or is that mostly for degreed candidates (or not realistic at all)? Any guidance here is greatly appreciated.

I went through two rounds of interviews for
a job that the posting stated $36.66 per
hour (FP&A Analyst)…the company
recruiter had told me in the initial call the
pay could be 32-36 because of the other
benefits. If I do get a job offer what range
should I try for? I was really hoping to get
around the 36-40 but now I feel like they
may try to offer lower than what was
posted. Also there was no range but the
average for this position is upper 70s-90k.
Thanks for any help!

So I had been working as medical interpreter up to the early part of this year. Today, during an interview, the Director with whom I was interviewing genuinely urged me to consider pursuing a career as a PA or even attempt to go to medical school.
