Hello! I am from MD & am thinking about relocating to NC. I have been having an EXTREMELY hard time with finding a decent, stable job in MD; but its just been almost impossible in my area. I am a mixed race person. Are the people in Charlotte friendly? Also, how is the job market there? I graduated 8 years ago & I am so sick of not hearing hardly anything back after applying for several jobs. Im not getting any younger & feel so stuck. Im also hoping to find a long term relationship there too!

So be prepared for very less hikes in coming cycle :( Also automotive sector in general is struggling with tesla laying off 10% workforce recently. Maybe time to make a move? What do you say fishes?

Took my first ever sick day today on account of my very poor and worsening mental health. Just could not bring myself to put in another 14 hour day with back to back meetings and constant activity. Felt very guilty but I honestly wish I could be more honest and actually share with my manager about why I took a day off.

I’m currently a third year in my small firm’s life sciences team. I’m not really stimulated by the work and although they say they have a lot of work, they’re not good at managing workload. I haven’t had much work on my plate even after asking many times for more than six months. I’m ready to move to a larger law firm. However, I am concerned how I’ll manage the workload as a mom to a toddler. The good thing about my firm is that they’re flexible with hours. Anyone have experience balancing?
