Hello!! I am looking into transitioning into operations, but have only been in law firms for the entirety of my career. 15+ years in commercial litigation, appellate, and family law. What would you as other operators recommend as stepping stones to a legal ops role?? I want to do more with my career without having to go to law school and I’ve grown tired of “being in the weeds” of litigation and family law. TIA!!

Look at the CLOC website and think about if/how you can spin any of your experience as legal ops related. CLOC also has a job board, but it doesn’t seem to be very active recently.
Follow legal operations folks on LinkedIn, network with people in the field already, check out the Cowen Cafe on LinkedIn, see if you can take on more legal ops functions where you are. Good luck!

Hi everyone, applied for an investment consulting internship few weeks back.
It's a client facing job, but it might come at a later stage of a job, maybe after finishing my internship and getting a job offer.
I'm interested to know what is the must develop skills, must take courses or must read books to get insight, develop the required knowledge and skills for the position. I majored in business management finance and currently preparing for CFA level 1. Thanks in advance ☺️

Got an offer for SE III at a large tech company. Product I'd be working on interests me and I think I could grow more than in my current role.

Currently I make 180k base and have ISO/RSUs @ startup (60k/yr worth on paper, but won't be worth anything for a few years, if at all).

The offer is:
Base: $166,500
Target Bonus: 10% ($16,650)
RSU: 120k total (30k/yr)

Thoughts on offer? Should I counter?

Additionally there's a yearly target RSU bonus about equal to the cash bonus. Thoughts? 4.5 YOE
