I did my undergraduate with Rotman, 2 YOE in Commercial/Corporate Banking after graduation, and working in Capital Market Team in B4 Consulting as an Experienced Associate. How do you keep your resume to one-page length after 6-7+ years in consulting during which period you’ve done a lot of interesting and impressive projects?

I applied for a job at Visa and was contacted the same day. A few days later I had a 30-minute screening interview with the hiring manager. I knew I was very early in the process since the job had only been posted for a few days. It's been 3 weeks and I haven't heard back, even after reaching out to the recruiter. Have I been ghosted or is there still hope? Does anyone at Visa have insights? Looks like there are a ton of jobs posted so maybe they are just backed up?

Associate (1.5 YOE) looking to make a possible career switch from consulting to product management. I’ve reached out to the few PMs in my network but nothing has materialized so far. How should I go about job apps? Also if any PMs are hiring, I’d love to chat

Her current package is 2.5lpa from a small company (3yrs exp java spring boot) . She got offer from Accenture of 6lpa (fixed) . After this she had interview with cognizant and asked for package of 7 lpa. When she recieved the offer from cognizant it was of 10lpa fixed. Most interesting part after 2 weeks she got revised offer letter from cogni without any discussion of 16lpa with 1L joining bonus.

How can we analyse and suggest her regarding offer.

Best investment banker ties for an interview?

I’m interviewing for a an EA role to CEO, who is also interviewing for a chief of staff. CEO has alluded to me being a great CoS based on recent exp, and longer term COO and has asked if I’m going to find the EA role limiting. Do I address my interest in the CoS role, plus gaps in my experience or do I focus on the EA role and finding opps to add value outside of EA responsibilities without stepping on the CoS toes? I really want to work for this CEO & don’t want to talk myself out of the EA job

Need suggestions, I currently have a offer at B4 in Tax but I also have 3 interviews coming up for TAS & M&A positions (2 mid tier & one B4). The Tax offer needs a decision really soon and I don’t know what to do. I am currently in Tax but dislike my current firm(mid tier). What kinds of questions should I be prepared for during a first round Venture Capital conversation/interview?

I am starting a 4-months internship at a company B in January. However, I just heard from a company T that they will interview me for their full time position.

Company T is paying me way more (twice) than Company B. And I like company T more. However, they want me to start working in February if I get this position. If I end up getting the offer, I will have to quit my internship at Company B, almost immediately after I begin the internship.

I am currently interviewing a few of companies. I want to be able to travel (abroad) and work. Time zone isn't an issue, I can work at the same time zone or ensure significant time overlap.

So, a recruiter sent me a HackerRank assessment and I went to complete it and it was so easy? Is this a red flag or a shit test or something? Like there was a number sequence: “1234567”, and it corresponded to a word: “Surgeon”. Then it was the word: “Snore”, which corresponded to “36425”. and then I had to figure out the number that corresponded to: “Rogue”. It just seemed too easy, why even have it besides creating another barrier to a possible offer? Should I tread carefully here?

Hi! I currently work as a senior consultant but my client (a major bank) has made it clear they would be interested in hiring me full time into a product role (VP). If I want to eventually exit to a major tech company or small start up more aligned to my values (interested in health tech) but stay as a PM — is it better to exit now into this role or stay as a consultant?
