Hello! I'm currently a product designer at a startup and we're currently hiring for a Lead Product Designer. I've been helping my director write up an interview format and was wondering if there was anything different about lead designer interviews? When I was going through the interview process at my company I had the following steps: phone screen, hiring manager screen, onsite (portfolio review, design collab, stakeholder collab, eng collab). Any additional info will be much appreciated!

Just got a job offer but they are only giving me until Monday afternoon to decide. I'm currently in process at several other firms and the recruiter said they can't/won't give extensions. How bad is it for me to accept and then decline if I get another offer? The other companies would be paying 15-30k more and I feel like that's way too much to give up especially right out of school. Let’s talk comp — I’m a remote head of recruitment with 6 years of experience being paid 75K base plus bonuses that got me to 90K this year. I’m interviewing for other jobs, and have a potential offer at $130K base. Any idea what the market is like? Is seems like anything between 72K and $250K is possible. I have no idea what to ask companies for.

Should one add their personal technology that are currently used for remote work on their resume? Seems most companies will provide the hardware and software needed. However, it’s unclear if the employer will provide this through Teamviewer/VPN connection or will send an actual computer. Along with this, would it be pertinent to add your internet capability (speed, fios/cable/satellite/dsl)?

Difference between a Solution Architect and Technical Architect at SF

Just initiated the conversation with Salesforce recruiter and other than some Industry focus for the Solution Architect - did not see much of a difference between the job descriptions for these 2 roles

This would be for L8/L9 level.

I rented a house that had been vacant for a bit & the prior tenant didn’t do a thorough job cleaning up. Agent indicated the owner would be open to having the house cleaned but I would need to have the house professionally cleaned when I moved out (that was fine w me). I just received the bill from the owner for $250, which is super annoying bc there was no expectation communicated that I would foot the bill for this, more so bc the cleaner did a LOUSY job. I wanted to share that I am in my first job as ui/ux expert and I am the only ux/ui person in the team. I am expected to take care of entire research and design of the product. It becomes very overwhelming as the product that I am working on is in a early phase and I am expected to think about ui as well as ux and also design entire app on my own.There is no user interview or user testing happening as my project manager thinks it can be done after product is launched. Please help!

Not enough experience to become a Senior designer, but too much to be a junior.

And there hardly any intermediate roles out there.
