I’m worried I made a huge mistake lateraling. I was really unhappy at my last firm and made a move for slightly better QOL and better work. But it’s so hard to start remotely and get to know new personalities. Does anyone have any tips or positive stories to share?

Instead of discussing things over email, offer to discuss them over Skype video / ms teams / Zoom. That leads to more personal connection and conversation (just don't spend twenty minutes chatting and give minutes on the actual matter).

We just brought on a new associate over the summer. I was the one who brought her in to interview so I felt kind of responsible for making sure she was happy with her switch. I tried to avoid calls and emails and just do video chat (unless she asks for a non video call). A few of us (associates and partners) will get together for virtual coffee a few times a week, and I've found that helps. But it's going to be tough until vaccines are widely available.

Remember why you left.

No advice. But in the same boat. They did a really good job at setting up virtual one on ones, so reach out and do those if they didn’t set you up already

Hi all. I was recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder type 2 and it’s been hard to heal with the ups and downs of a very competitive sales position in the current market. Before taking FMLA for 12 weeks I was a top performer. Any advice from those that also live with bipolar disorder, or advice on a potentially a less stressful position to ease out of sales? I have 7 years healthcare sales and 1.5 years as a MLO.

I have been looking at the curriculums for Harvard Business School's Master of Business Administration and Harvard Extension School's Master's in Management. They both have the same requirements, generally speaking, including a field immersion course that serves as a capstone in the Master's in Management, which is fairly new. If I am not able to gain admission to Harvard Business School, but wanted a similar educational experience to become a consultant, should I attend Harvard Extension?

Hi all,
I graduated during Covid with a double major in business administration and business management with a minor in marketing and magically ended up in sales because I needed a job. I’m about to take a data analytics course to make an attempt to break into that field. I’m currently looking for a mentor to help guide me during this time. Also, if anyone is willing to look over my resume and give me tips on how to make it more presentable for recruiters in DA that would be very helpful. Thanks

Curious if anyone else is or has been in the same boat. I started as an assistant at my firm prior to passing the bar. Upon passing, the partner told me they would hire an assistant for me since I now became an associate. That was 1.5 years ago and I am still in the limbo of juggling my own workload + doing assistant roles for my supervisors. I have also had no increase in pay, which is a huge deal for me. Is this normal in the entertainment world? Any suggestions?

We have a 2100 billable req which I’m barely hitting. We also get paid below 6 figures. I learned that the new associates came is at least $10k over us. I graduated 2020–but 1st firm job. Advice?
